Tidal Zone was an open air sculpture project commissioned by the Devonport Regional Gallery as part of Tidal.12 City of Devonport Art Award. Using recycled clay to create site specific sculptures that will be set within the nooks and crannies of the surrounding environment. Inspired by the theme tidal, the works aim to respond to current environmental issues, such as rising sea levels. The clay the structures will respond and reflect how these environmental changes influence the movement of colonies and communities of coastal regions both past and present.
